Pokémon fans are in for a disappointment as they realize they only have a few weeks left to enjoy a treasure trove of free content. Previously available on Nintendo Switch, Amazon, and mobile, this content included hundreds of hours of Pokémon anime episodes and movies.
The Pokémon TV App Will Soon Be Discontinued
The Pokémon TV app, a free-to-download app that provided access to a variety of Pokémon anime seasons and movies, is being discontinued. On Monday, January 8, 2024, the app was removed from all available storefronts, and the website where episodes could be watched was taken down and now redirects to a news page.
Access to Pokémon Content for Existing App Users
If you already had the Pokémon TV app installed, there is some good news. You can still enjoy all the available movies and shows, although the rotation of shows will no longer occur. However, the app will be completely discontinued on Thursday, March 28, 2024, so there are still a little over two months left for you to catch up on any episodes you haven't watched.
Issues Loading Episodes
Some users are currently experiencing issues loading episodes, particularly on the Nintendo Switch app. However, it is hoped that this issue will be resolved soon, allowing fans to watch until the intended final date.
