Nintendo Switch Adds Three More Games for Free, Including Castlevania

Introduction

Nintendo has announced the addition of three new games that Switch owners can play for free. One of them is from the popular Castlevania series and hasn't been re-released in many years. These games will be available as part of the Nintendo Switch Online service's cheaper tier.

Castlevania Legends

The first game being added is Castlevania Legends, originally released for the Game Boy. Players assume the role of Sonia Belmont and earn Soul Weapons for each defeated boss, allowing them to progress further through the castle.

The Mysterious Murasame Castle

The next two games being added are from the original Nintendo Entertainment System. The Mysterious Murasame Castle, which was only released in the West much later as part of the 3DS library, is the first. It is often compared to the original Legend of Zelda and follows a brave samurai investigating the four castles and defeating evil lords.

Devil World

The final game being added is Devil World, where players control the dragon Tamagon as they navigate a maze and complete various challenges.

F-Zero 99 Upgrade

F-Zero 99, Nintendo's free-to-play battle royale version of F-Zero, has also received a free upgrade. The game now includes three new tracks: Mute City 3, Fire Field, and Red Canyon 2.

How to Access the Games

If you have Nintendo Switch Online, you can download the Game Boy or NES app from the eShop. Once downloaded, you can open the app from your home screen and select the game you wish to play.

Conclusion

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now enjoy three additional games for free, including Castlevania Legends. These additions provide even more value to the service's cheaper tier.
