Nintendo's Big Announcement
Nintendo has been teasing an official trailer for the Switch 2 since May 2024, and the wait is finally over. President Shuntaro Furukawa announced the successor to the Nintendo Switch in May through a series of tweets, revealing the look of the Switch 2 and its logo.

The Switch 2 features an all-black design with red and blue accents. A new Mario Kart game was showcased and is believed to be a launch title for the console. The trailer also confirms new features like magnetic Joy-Con controllers and a slightly larger screen.

Nintendo confirmed that the Switch 2 would be revealed before the end of the fiscal year, with an official reveal date expected before April 1, 2025. A Nintendo Direct event is set for April 2, 2025, where fans can expect to learn more about the specs, release date, and price of the new console.
Third-Party Support and Hands-On Experience
Third-party studios have already begun confirming game development for the Switch 2, with titles like Yooka Replaylee and My Time at Evershine set to launch on the new Nintendo console. Fans will also have the opportunity to try out the Switch 2 at a hands-on event in London from April 11 to April 13.
