Nintendo Switch players are in for a treat as they can now get their hands on a free 80-rated game. The game will be available to subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online’s more expensive tier called the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Jet Force Gemini, a classic from Rare, comes to Nintendo Switch
In December, Jet Force Gemini will be added to Nintendo Switch’s Nintendo 64 library, making it free to play. Developed by Rare, best known for its N64 games like Banjo Kazooie and Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Jet Force Gemini is a completely different genre. Inspired by ‘80s arcade games, Jet Force Gemini is a 3D third-person shooter.
The blurb reads: "Choose between three different ready-for-action characters: Juno, Vela and Lupus, the dog. Each character has its own distinct style, with differences in power and abilities. Over time all three characters can be powered-up through the addition of new items and futuristic gear."
Release date and anticipation for more Rare games
There is no exact release date for Jet Force Gemini on the Nintendo Switch, but it is expected to launch in December. Fans are not only excited to play Jet Force Gemini, but they are also hopeful that additional Rare games could be coming to Switch Online. The original Banjo Kazooie, Goldeneye, and the SNES Donkey Kong Country games are already on the service, but fans would love to see even more of Rare’s extensive library come to NSO.
