More Games, More Fun
Nintendo has been on a roll lately, adding more free games to its lineup almost every day. Last week saw the addition of Donkey Kong Land to Nintendo Switch Online, followed by Donkey Kong Land 2 this week.
Expanding Game Library
While Nintendo Switch Online adds new games, it never removes any. The service offers two tiers, with the cheaper one focusing on older games. However, three new games have now been added to the more expensive tier, providing subscribers with even more gaming options.
Extra Perks for Subscribers
Subscribers at the higher tier can enjoy access to 107 additional games from the N64, Sega Mega Drive, and Game Boy Advance libraries. They can also play DLC for popular Switch games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 3.
Classic Sega Mega Drive Games
The latest additions to Nintendo Switch Online are all classic Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) games. Titles include Toejam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, VectorMan, and Wolf of the Battlefield: Mercs, offering a mix of platformer and action gameplay.
How to Access the Games
To play these new games, you'll need to be subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Simply download the Sega Mega Drive app through the Nintendo eShop on your console, and start enjoying these retro gems.
Generosity from Nintendo
Nintendo's generosity in adding five free games in a week may not be a regular occurrence, but it's certainly a treat for gamers, especially as the holiday season approaches. And with Nintendo never removing games, there's always plenty of time to enjoy the classics.
