New Among Us game is coming to VR making the murders more immersive

The fan-favourite party game has been recreated in VR with 3D models of the popular crewmates.

Taking out crewmates will be more realistic than ever before.

In the original game crewmates had to complete tasks aboard a ship as quickly as possible.

At the same time, certain players were given the role of imposters who have to murder the crewmates before they can complete all the tasks.

After a body is discovered, a meeting is called where both crewmates and imposters discuss who they think the imposters are.

The team then decides a party member to eject from the ship, removing them from the game.

Played from a first-person perspective, imposters will now have to approach victims in a 3D space in order to murder them.

The tasks that crewmates have to complete around the spaceship have also been remade for the new VR release.

There are also new tasks that have been developed specifically for the VR release.

At meetings where you discuss who you think the imposter is, you will also be able to see the other players’ movements sitting at a round table.

This will bring a whole new layer to deceiving your teammates.

The new game, simply called Among Us VR, will be crossplay, so no matter which headset you or your friends use, you’ll be able to play together.

Currently, the game is compatible with the Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, and Meta Quest 2 virtual reality headsets.

Among Us VR is scheduled for release on November 10, and it will be required to be purchased separately from the original 2D party game.

The VR version requires four to ten players in order to play a game, and each player will need a VR headset.

Despite the high barrier for entry, this 3D version will make Among Us more immersive than ever before, and fans are excited to try out the new version.
