Netflix's Highly-Rated Game, Hades, Leaves Android Users Disappointed
Netflix recently unveiled its exciting lineup of new titles for next year, including the highly-anticipated game, Hades. Developed by Supergiant Games, Hades boasts an impressive 93 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic and was nominated for multiple game of the year awards. However, Android users are in for a disappointment as Hades will be exclusively available on Apple devices.
Android Users Left in the Dark
With approximately 70% of global phone users opting for Android, a significant portion of Netflix subscribers will be unable to play Hades. While this news may come as a blow to Android phone owners, those who also own Apple tablets or other smart devices will still have access to the game on Netflix.
Netflix's Push to Boost Game Popularity
Netflix has been actively working to enhance the popularity of its gaming offerings and has partnered with various studios to develop games for its platform. Despite these efforts, less than 1% of Netflix subscribers currently take advantage of the gaming feature. The addition of acclaimed games like Hades is expected to attract more attention and engagement from subscribers.
Hopes for Android Availability in the Future
While Netflix does not have control over which platforms its games are available on, users are hopeful that Hades will eventually make its way to Android. Alternatively, Android users are eagerly awaiting the release of a blockbuster game on par with Hades that will be accessible to them.
