Marvel Rivals to Launch with 33 Characters

MARVEL Rivals is gearing up for its launch, featuring an impressive lineup of playable characters. The free-to-play 6v6 hero shooter will debut with a total of 33 Marvel heroes and villains for players to explore.

Character Roles and Synergies

In Marvel Rivals, characters are divided into three distinct roles: Duelist, Vanguard, and Strategist. Each role offers unique abilities and strengths, allowing players to create powerful team compositions.

The Duelists excel in one-on-one combat, dealing damage to opposing characters. At launch, players can choose from 18 Duelists, including popular characters like Black Panther, Iron Man, and Spider-Man.

Vanguards, on the other hand, are the tankier heroes capable of absorbing heavy damage from enemies. Captain America, Doctor Strange, and Thor are among the nine Vanguards available in the game.

Strategists provide healing and support to the team but are more susceptible in combat situations. Characters like Loki and Rocket Raccoon fall into this category, offering crucial support abilities.

Upcoming Characters and Leaks

While the initial roster boasts 33 characters, dataminers have uncovered additional heroes set to join Marvel Rivals in future updates. Leaked characters such as Blade, Ultron, and the Fantastic Four are expected to make their debut at a later date, expanding the game's roster.
