AS one event ends another begins, this week for the Lunar New year.
Aside from this, the group of Pokémon available in five-star raids will be changing from Black and White legends.
Darumaka is taking over Lunar New Year.
Most fans will be hyped for Community Day Classic that is happening this week.
Here’s everything coming to Pokémon Go from January 16, 2023, to January 22, 2023.
Seedot takes the spotlight
This week’s Spotlight Hour in Pokémon Go will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, from 6pm local time.
Spotlight Hour will feature Seedot, a generation three grass-type that evolves into Shiftry.
While not the most exciting Pokémon, Seedot will be available more commonly during this hour, and its shiny rate is increased.
There will also be 2x XP given for each Pokémon caught during this hour, including those other than the acorn.
Regice takes over raids
This week’s Raid Hour will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 6pm local time.
Regice will take over raids, from the three Black and White box art legendaries.
It also has a chance to be shiny, but the shiny looks almost identical to the regular shade of Regice.
It will appear in every gym during this hour as a five-star raid, and appear in regular five-star raids during the week.
Mega Lopunny will also be taking over Mega Raids this week.
Great League takes over the Go Battle league
The Go Battle League will change on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 8pm UK time.
The Great League will return, and be joined by another version of the Great League in the Weather Cup: Great League Edition.
Pokémon must have 1.5k CP or less and be Rock-, Ice-, Fire-, or Water-type to enter.
Lunar New Year event starts
The Twinkling Fantasy event will take place from Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 10am until Monday, January 23 at 10pm local time.
2023 is the Year of the Rabbit, so Bunnery and Bunnelby will appear more commonly during the Lunar New Year event.
Red Pokémon are also more common, including Ponyta, Slugma and Fennekin, and rarely Flareon and Darumaka.
There will be extra research tasks, and Darumaka will appear in these, as well as in eggs, and one-star raids.
Community Day Classic returns
Community Day Classic will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm local time.
The target of this is Larvitar, a generation two Pokémon that can evolve into the powerful Tyranitar.
It will take a lot of Larvitar to evolve into Tyranitar, but if you manage to do so before 7pm, it will know the unique move Smack Down.
There is also increased odds for a shiny one to appear on this day.
