Lewis Hamilton gifted brother portable gaming rig to play Call of Duty while away

FANS have found an old Instagram story from Lewis Hamilton’s half-brother Nicolas, that reveals the F1 stars’ love of Call of Duty.

It’s no secret that many F1 drivers are into video games, with many taking games with them when travelling.

The uncovered instagram story.

Max Verstappen is a big fan of F1 Manager, complaining during a race of his teammate’s low rating in the game.

Nicolas Hamilton’s Instagram story from 2021, which recently resurfaced, shows a portable gaming rig he claims was a present from his brother Lewis.

The story read: “Lewis Hamilton kindly gave me a portable gaming station so I can still link up with him and play while I’m away racing. Genius!”

Nicolas’ portable setup is a bit of an unusual one. Instead of a gaming laptop or a handheld console, it’s something far less common.

The ‘portable gaming rig’ appears to be a Gaems Guardian Pro. This is similar to a briefcase with a monitor and space for a console and controllers inside.

Despite the PS5 coming out a year before the picture was taken, it seems Lewis put a PS4 Slim inside the setup.

This is likely because the PS4 is a lot more compact than the gigantic PS5.

The pair can be seen playing Call of Duty: Warzone, the free-to-play game which was recently replaced by Warzone 2.0.

Around that time, a number of F1 drivers were seen with similar portable gaming setups.

Fellow F1 driver, Yuki Sonoda, was seen playing Apex Legends on a similar rig back in 2021.

Gaming has come a long way since then, and we hope the brothers are now playing on a setup that’s more up to date.

High-end gaming laptops can be expensive, but can be bought for as cheaply as this setup, which was likely almost £1000.

The more budget-friendly option would be the Steam Deck, which can play the vast majority of games from Steam’s expansive library and costs £349 for the base model.

While the framerate may be lower, most games run fluidly on Valve’s portable powerhouse.
