FORTNITE has introduced two new family-friendly modes alongside its popular Battle Royale mode, and now a third major mode has been released, offering fans yet another way to play.
Rock Out with Friends in Fortnite
Fortnite Festival, the latest addition to Chapter 5, is a musical mode developed by the team behind Rock Band. This new mode consists of two aspects: a cooperative rhythm game that allows players to rock out together, and a more free-flowing mode where popular songs play out and players can join in or disrupt them as they wish.
While the latter mode may lose its appeal over time, the traditional mode, which essentially offers the Rock Band experience without the peripherals, is sure to have staying power.
A Stellar Tracklist
Fortnite Festival features an impressive tracklist, with artists such as Lady Gaga, The Cranberries, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Billie Eilish, and The Weeknd. The Weeknd will be in the spotlight during the opening weekend of the mode. Different layouts and difficulty settings for instruments provide plenty of replayability, and players can customize the control scheme to suit their preferences. In the future, compatible peripheral instruments will be available to enhance the Rock Band experience.
New Tracks and Instruments to Keep the Mode Fresh
The long-term success of Fortnite Festival will depend on how frequently it is updated with new tracks and instruments. Players can also check out our reviews of the other modes, Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing, to learn more.
