Ports can be cancelled at a later date, but at the time of writing, Hogwarts Legacy is still planned to be released on these consoles.

Hogwarts Legacy is currently scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
However, as the main release was delayed numerous times, it is possible that the Switch port could be delayed as well.
Can you preorder Hogwarts Legacy on Switch?
Preorders are available now at numerous retailers if you want a physical copy of Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch.
However, if you want the digital version, you will have to wait a bit longer.
The Nintendo eShop doesn’t have Hogwarts Legacy on sale at the time of writing.
Why is Hogwarts Legacy later on Switch?
The Hogwarts Legacy development team wanted to focus on releasing the game on the latest consoles.
While the Nintendo Switch is part of the same generation as the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, it came out many years earlier.
This means that the hardware isn’t as advanced as the latest consoles or high-end PCs.
The team is now working on the process of porting the game to older consoles, including Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
This process can take several months, as each console will require a different port.
When is Hogwarts Legacy Xbox One and PS4 release date?
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to release on Xbox One and PS4 on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
It is earlier than the Switch release date, as there is already a release on Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
This makes the process of porting the game easier for the team.
