Rockstar Announces GTA 6 Trailer Release

New Pricing Model
Currently, big-budget games like GTA 6 usually sell for around £70 ($70), with a premium edition costing around £100 ($100) and offering in-game items and early access. Smaller development team games, on the other hand, are typically priced lower, ranging from £15 - £30 ($20 - $40) each.
Zelnick argues that there shouldn't be a fixed price for all big games, but rather they should be individually priced. He proposes a cost-per-hour model, where the price of a game is determined by the amount of entertainment it provides. Additionally, the popularity of the game among customers would also factor into the pricing.
Essentially, Zelnick suggests that longer games should be more expensive, regardless of their quality. This means that shorter, more focused games like Resident Evil 4 should be cheaper compared to larger games like Gotham Knights, which often have filler content and side quests.
Implications for GTA 6
GTA games are known for their vast open worlds and extensive gameplay, indicating that Zelnick's pricing model would likely result in GTA 6 being more expensive than most games. This has left fans concerned about the potential cost of the highly anticipated sequel.
