IF you’ve already reached the ending of the main story of God of War Ragnarök, you might have found yourself wondering, is this really it?
However, there is another ending to find that brings a more satisfying conclusion to the game’s plot, and has a number of requirements in order to unlock it.
The story doesn’t end with the main quest.
To tell you how to reach that ending, we’ve had to include some spoilers, so this is your warning.
We’ve tried to be as light on them as possible and haven’t revealed anything about characters’ endings.
If you still want to know how to unlock the true ending for God of War Ragnarök, here’s everything you need to know.
How to unlock God of War Ragnarök’s true ending
In order to unlock the true ending to God of War Ragnarök, you must first complete the A Viking Funeral side quest after you finish the main story.
This favour has two major steps to it:
- Attend the funeral
- Meet the party at the Sverd Sands
In order to complete both of these, you must travel to Svartalfheim.
Here you need to find Lunda, who wishes to honour the memory of someone at Raeb’s Tavern.
Go to the Tavern and listen to everyone speak about the dearly departed.
Once you’ve attended the funeral, you need to travel to Sverd Sands.
You can find this at the end of the ferry’s path near Tyr’s prison.
Since you spent some time here during the main quest, you should be able to find it easily on your in-game compass.
This will trigger a cutscene, and the true credits for God of War Ragnarök.
You can continue playing the same game file after the credits roll, so don’t worry about ending your adventure.
There will still be plenty of post-game adventures to enjoy so keep playing to your heart’s content.
