Get ready for the Fortnite Remix: The Prelude live event

FORTNITE is wrapping up a season today, and the next one will launch with the Fortnite Remix: The Prelude live event tonight.

Fans are eager to see what’s in store for the Chapter 2 Remix which begins tomorrow, November 2, but Epic Games has warned players of long queues in the lead-up to the live event.

Queue up early to avoid missing out

In a post on the Fortnite Status account on Twitter/X, players are urged to log in a few hours early, as they may miss the event if they wait for the last minute.

Remix: The Prelude is due to start this evening, November 1, 2024, and you can check the exact times in our Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 start times explainer.

Protective measures in place

Shortly before The Prelude starts, the Restored Reels POI on the map will become a protected area, meaning that players there won’t be able to kill each other.

Epic Games did not specify how long before the event it will enable the no damage zone, which has some players worried they may get killed in a match and miss out on The Prelude.

Don't miss the countdown

The Prelude will become available in the Battle Royale and Zero Build modes of the game. The countdown timer is already ticking in the game’s lobby ahead of the live event.

Players have also spotted the timer in-game at Restored Reels where Remix: The Prelude will take place.
