In addition to skins, players can also utilise the iconic ODM Gear from the anime

The Fortnite X Attack on Titan crossover has been known about for a while through leaks and datamines, but this is the first time we’ve seen it officially.

Here are the five biggest changes and additions from Fortnite’s 24.20 update.

Fortnite 24.20: Attack on Titan skins

We knew that Eren Jaeger, one of the main protagonists of Attack on Titan would make an appearance due to his inclusion in the Battle Pass.

In order to earn the skin, you’ll need to buy the Battle Pass and complete quests to unlock the skin and a number of themed items.

Captain Levi and Mikasa Ackermann have also been added as skins, though players will have to purchase these with V-Bucks.

It’s not known how long these skins will be available to buy, but there’s a good chance they’ll stick around for a while.

Fortnite 24.20: Attack on Titan ODM Gear

Any self-respecting Attack on Titan fan is unlikely to be settled with simply a character skin, so Fortnite has introduced the iconic ODM gear to the game

This item can be found on the ground in maps, in chests, or in the new Scout Regiment Footlockers.

Equipping the item will let you grapple on objects just like in the anime, and the built-in blades will let you strike enemies on the ground.

There are also Titans from the anime scattered throughout the island for you to hone your skills against with the ODM Gear.

Fortnite 24.20: Attack on Titan Thunder Spears

Much like the ODM Gear, Thunder Spears can be found anywhere you can normally find loot in Fortnite.

That said, you have a much higher chance of looting one from a Scout Regiment Footlocker, which are also spread throughout the map.

Thunder Spears are essentially rockets that players can launch from their arms, dealing huge damage to anything they hit.

Their explosion radius is quite large too, so using them to take out world and player structures is a good bet.

Fortnite 24.20: Jaeger’s Family Basement

The final Attack on Titan piece of content added to Fortnite is the Jaeger Family basement, a new location on the map.

It’s a secret location that is hidden away somewhere in Anvil Square, and is said to contain all sorts of cool secrets.

The basement played a major role in the Attack on Titan anime, being a secret location that unlocked many clues for the characters to help solve the mystery of the Titans.

The basement is likely to be around only for the length of the season, so be sure to check it out before it goes away.

Fortnite 24.20: Dirt Bikes

If Attack on Titan isn’t your thing, then there’s still at least one thing in the 24.20 update for longtime Fortnite fans.

The fan favourite vehicle, the Dirt Bike, will now be available to find and use in Fortnite, offering a fun way for players to get around.

The Dirt Bike was added to the game years ago, but has been vaulted for quite some time, to the dismay of many players.

Its return means that players can easily navigate rough terrain, and is likely to result in clips of stunts being shared across social media.
