Fortnite Godzilla Event: A Guide to Finding Godzilla and Defeating the Monster

Fortnite's Latest Event

Fortnite is set to launch its Godzilla event today, January 17, as part of the Japanese-themed Chapter 6 Season 1, known as Demon Hunters. In this collaboration, Godzilla will be introduced as a boss that players must defeat on the Battle Royale map.

How to Become the Monster

In some Fortnite matches, one lucky player will have the opportunity to become the King of Monsters. The rest of the players must then locate Godzilla's weak spots and work together to take it down.

Godzilla Gameplay and Abilities

If a player manages to reach the Hollow Earth Rift Gate first, they will transform into Godzilla and gain control of the monster. Godzilla comes with a larger health bar and three unique abilities: Roar, Might Stomp, and Heat Ray, each with different cooldowns.

Defeating Godzilla

Players not controlling Godzilla must work together to defeat the monster. Targeting Godzilla's weak spots will deal more damage and drop Godzilla Fragments, which can heal players and provide dashes. The player who deals the most damage to Godzilla will receive a special dash ability and a Burst Quad Launcher.

Event Details

The Godzilla event began at 2pm GMT / 9am ET on January 17, 2025, with additional quests and rewards available for completion. Keep an eye out for the portal that allows players to become Godzilla, as it won't be available in every match.

Where to Find Godzilla

Since Godzilla is controlled by a player, there is no fixed location for the monster on the map. Once transformed, the player can move freely and unleash Godzilla's destructive powers anywhere.
