Fortnite, the popular online video game, went offline today in preparation for its highly anticipated Halloween event. Chapter 4 Season 4 of Fortnite is set to receive its third major content update, and this year's event is bringing a spooky twist.
The Nightmare Before Christmas Meets Fortnite
Fortnitemares 2023 has officially kicked off, bringing a host of Halloween-themed items to the game. Players can expect to see a mix of old favorites and exciting new skins. One of the standout additions is the iconic characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas crossing over into the Fortnite realm.
New Bosses and Weapons
A new boss named Kado Thorn has made its way to the island, but players need not fear as a new weapon has been introduced to take them on. The Wood Stake Shotgun deals extra damage to vampires, and defeating them will also reward players with the Vampiric Blade. Additionally, the Pumpkin Launcher and Witch Broom are making a comeback, offering players unique ways to battle.
Sweet Treats and Spooky Quests
Fortnite fans can also indulge in Sanguine Sweets, which are scattered all over the map and provide players with a helpful boost. But that's not all - there are also 25 new quests for players to undertake until November 3. Completing these quests will unlock a variety of rewards, including new back blings, emotes, contrails, and more.
Horde Rush Mode and Exclusive Rewards
For those seeking an extra challenge, Horde Rush mode is available until November 3. Players can complete a series of quests to earn exclusive rewards, such as wraps, emoticons, and pickaxes.
New Skins in the Item Shop
Aside from the in-game rewards, players can also purchase a range of skins in the item shop. Four popular outfits are making a return, including Seth, Bogstick, Phantom Meowscles, and Festival Phaedra. In addition, three exciting new crossover skins have been introduced, featuring Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Michael Myers from Friday the 13th, and Alan Wake from the Alan Wake games.
