Football Manager 23 is coming November 8.

Another first for the series, it will appear on subscription services, including Xbox Game Pass and Apple Arcade.

However, platforms aren’t the only thing new about Football Manager this year.

Football Manager 23 (FM23) has announced its partnership with UEFA, bringing UEFA tournaments into the game.

Four UEFA tournaments will be included in FM23 this year:

  • UEFA Super Cup
  • UEFA European Conference League
  • UEFA Europa League
  • UEFA Champions League

Miles Jacobson, studio director for FM23, said: “Football Manager 2023 marks another significant step forward for the Football Manager series.

“As we [will] introduce the UEFA Club Competitions and bring the game to PlayStation 5.

“Adding these historic competitions is an ideal fit for all parties involved and will add another dynamic and challenging element for fans.

“That makes this year’s edition the most realistic football management simulation available.”

Sega, publisher of the Football Manager series, has also licensed the UEFA Women’s Champions League for future releases.

While it appears that FM 23 will be the biggest Football Manager yet, with many additional features, fans were disappointed to hear news about the physical edition.

Those who purchase a physical copy of the game for Mac or Windows PC will not receive a disc or manual.

Instead, there will be a code inside the box that can be redeemed on the player’s platform of choice, between Steam and the Epic’s Games Store.

The company has said this is in the effort to lower the company’s carbon footprint.

It also reports that FM23’s packaging will have a 47% smaller carbon footprint than last year’s release.
