POKÉMON has just held its annual Pokémon Presents with all the upcoming updates for the Pokémon franchise.
There are codes for in-game items, new gaming announcements, and plenty of release dates.
Dripplin is one of the new Pokémon coming in DLC.
If you missed out, don’t worry we’ve recapped everything that appeared in the 40 minute trailer.
Here’s everything that was announced in August 2023’s Pokémon Presents.
The Pokémon World Championships – Pokémon Presents August 2023
The Pokémon World Championships start this weekend in Yokohama, Japan, and there is plenty Pokémon is doing to celebrate.
There is a whole host of new merch available including bags, hoodies and shirts to celebrate the event.
A new line of plushies have launched featuring regional food, though many are event exclusive.
However, everyone will be able to grab some special Pikachu plushies for the huge celebration.
Detective Pikachu Returns – Pokémon Presents August 2023
We got to see a new trailer for a new game in the franchise, Detective Pikachu Returns.
The sequel to the 3DS exclusive game, it features new partner Pokémon with special abilities to help you investigate.
Growlithe will help you keep on track by sniffing around, and Darmanitan can break down walls.
We were also finally given a release date of October 6, 2023, and it’s available for preorder now.
Pokémon Sleep – Pokémon Presents August 2023
Not much was announced for Pokémon’s newest game Pokémon Sleep, but we know that there will be in-game events.
The only one announced so far is a Full Moon event that will double the drowsy power of your Snorlax.
Pokémon Go – Pokémon Presents August 2023
The Pokémon Go segment focused on upcoming Pokémon Go Fests, including the upcoming Global Fest on August 26 to 27.
Diancie will be making its debut, and Mega Rayquaza will return in high level raids.
The biggest announcement is that starting from September, Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet will be entering Pokémon Go.
Only the starters Sprigatito, Quaxly and Fuecoco were shown, but we’re sure more will come.
Pokémon Unite – Pokémon Presents August 2023
A new mode is being introduced into Pokémon Unite, where you have to protect your team’s Tinkaton.
Mega Mewtwo has just been introduced into the game, and will be available during an event which ends on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.
You can get a three day pass for both Mew and Mega Mewtwo X by using the code 2NDANNIVERSARY until August 31.
There are also other competitions including a champion prediction for Worlds, and a prize machine.
Pokémon Masters EX – Pokémon Presents August 2023
Nemona and Pawmot are live now as a special sync pair, with the new role, sprint.
Players can also claim 3k Gems by logging into their games today (August 8).
Pokémon Café Remix – Pokémon Presents August 2023
Tatsugiri is coming to Café Remix, in all of its forms, but you will have to choose just one to join your team.
There is also a Summer Fun Jigglypuff which players can claim today for free.
Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly are returning to deliveries with a big delivery bonus, alongside the debut of five-star chef Vaporeon.
Nintendo Switch Online – Pokémon Presents August 2023
After being previously announced the Pokémon Trading Card Game for Game Boy is now available for Nintendo Switch Online.
In a surprise announcement, Pokémon Stadium 2 for N64 is also available for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Pokémon TCG – Pokémon Presents August 2023
Paradise Resort is a new Stadium card for TCG, to celebrate the world championships.
While Psyduck is not particularly in the meta right now, the new card reduces the retreat cost of any Psyduck card on the field by one.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet – Pokémon Presents August 2023
The Get Mew and Mewtwo event is starting now with a special Mew distribution.
Mewtwo seven-star raids will take place from September 1 until September 17, and there will be two waves of tera-raids in August.
There will also be a new outbreak event introducing Clefairy to the game.
Hidden Treasures of Area Zero
More information was given about the new DLC including that it takes place outside of Paldea in two new regions.
It will also feature the new school, Blueberry Academy, and new characters will join.
After the DLCs are complete you will return to Area Zero in Paldea to uncover the hidden treasures.
The Teal Mask
The first piece of DLC will take place in the countryside town of Kitakami where your school will take a trip.
You will learn the story of the previously revealed Loyal Three, and attend a summer festival.
There will be two new mini-games, a photography side quest, and an Ogre Ousting mini-game including a new type of food for training your Pokémon.
Most exciting was the reveal of the new Pokémon Dripplin who will be a new evolution of Applin.
We also finally have a release date with The Teal Mask launching on September 13.
The Indigo Disk
This story follows you on a school exchange with the academy, which is half underwater, with a new biome inside.
Indigo Disk will focus more on battles, with the BB League as well as its own E4.
There are mini-games here too, and Koraidon or Miraidon can learn to fly here.
We also learned that the two new legendaries will have a new form of terastylization, though we don’t know how it works yet.
Three new Pokémon were announced, Archaludon, a new evolution for Duraludon with a new move called Electro Beam in Japanese.
There are also two new Paradox Pokémon, an ancient Raikou called Raging Bolt, and a future Cobalion called Iron Crown.
Pokémon Anime – Pokémon Presents August 2023
Three new anime were announced with the first being Pokémon Path to the Peak, a short based on competitive TCG play, with the first episode airing on Friday, August 11.
Pokémon Horizons will finally come to the West, featuring the adventures of new protagonists Liko and Roy.
There was no release date yet, but it will feature Pokémon from Generation 9 including the DLC.
The other new announcement is the Pokémon Paldean Winds anime series, which starts on YouTube from September 6.
