EA Sports FC rumoured to feature women’s ultimate team for the first time

UPCOMING release EA Sports FC will feature a women’s version of FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) claims leakers.

Developer EA Sports and FIFA announced their very public divorce last year, with FIFA 23 to be the last game carrying the FIFA name.

EA Sports FC rumoured to feature women’s ultimate team for the first time
Man City celebrate in FIFA 23.

From this year all releases will be called EA Sports FC, though the team has said the games will remain mostly the same.

Lead gameplay developer Sam Kovalev told GLHF: “I know that each year we come up with additional things on the gameplay side, but we’re not redefining the game.”

One of the new additions to EA Sports FC will reportedly be Women’s Ultimate Team (WUT).

The women’s Premier League and Ligue 1 teams are already in FIFA 23, but players are unable to use them for Career Mode or FUT.

This is despite women players being some of the highest-rated players in the game.

Barcelona Midfielder, Alexia Putellas, is the highest-rated player in the game, with a rating of 92.

However, despite these incredible ratings, you can’t add these players to your FUT.

EA Sports has been upping the inclusion of women’s teams in FIFA 23.

It recently added the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) to FIFA 23.

The Women’s World Cup will also be included in FIFA 23 with a mode releasing to coincide with the real-world event.

However, fans have spotted some changes that hint at even more women’s teams and events being added in the future.

Werder Bremen was added alongside the UWCL, despite not being part of the league.

This has led fans to believe that the women’s Bundesliga will be added in the future.

Leakers have also found information that there will be a women’s version of FUT added to the first EA Sports FC.

It is believed that this will be a separate mode of FUT, and women and men players will not compete on the same teams.

At this stage it is only a rumour, and nothing has been officially announced by EA Sports.
