A Terrifying New Addition to the Psychological Thriller Genre
There are few psychological thrillers that have the ability to keep their creepy claws dug into your mind well after you’ve finished them. BioShock, Heavy Rain, Dead Space, Alan Wake, FEAR are some that jump out. But now there’s a newbie leaping from the shadows to instil fear in every step you take.
A Surreal and Haunting Experience
Karma: The Dark World is a debut title from indie developer Pollard Studio, coming out of nowhere to scare the living daylights out of you. Set in an alternate 1984 East Germany, you play Daniel McGovern, an elite Roam agent who delves into the minds of suspects to investigate crimes. What starts as a simple detective story soon becomes much darker and more mind-bending.
Immerse Yourself in Fear
Every step in Karma is fearful, with a constant tension that grips you. The game's atmosphere is as impressive as it is exhausting, making you question your own reality and the world around you. The eerie Orwellian overtones combined with Twin Peaks vibes create a surreal and haunting experience that will keep you on edge.
A Visual and Auditory Masterpiece
Visually stunning thanks to the Unreal Engine 5, Karma features beautifully crafted faces and clean rendering that brings out the fear and horror in characters' eyes. The excellent voice acting and perfect score add to the atmosphere, with well-timed shrieks indicating impending danger.

Gameplay and Value
Karma offers around 6 hours of gameplay that is well worth the experience. While it may not have much action, the puzzles and twisted narrative provide a unique exploration. The game is available on PC and PlayStation 5, with an Xbox version on the way, and is priced at £20.

Don't overlook Karma in a sea of gaming titles. It's a spectacular outing that will leave you questioning every creak in the night. Whether you dare to face the nightmares within or not, Karma is an experience worth having.
