Supporting the Growth of TON Ecosystem
KuCoin Ventures, the venture arm of Seychelles-registered crypto exchange KuCoin, has pledged to provide grants to The Open Network (TON) blockchain platform. The initial grant of $20,000 will be used to support the growth and expansion of the TON ecosystem.
Projects and Initiatives
The funding from KuCoin Ventures will be used to support various TON ecosystem projects, including payments and game finance (GameFi) platforms, research and development efforts, community-building, marketing activities, and incubation initiatives such as the TON Bootcamp.
Accelerating Mini-App Development
Ian Wittkopp, accelerator head at TON Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the grants from KuCoin Ventures, stating that it will help support real-world blockchain solutions in payments and gaming within the TON ecosystem. Wittkopp sees this partnership as an acceleration point in the momentum of mini-app development on the TON platform.
Strategic Alliance for Further Development
Alicia Kao, managing director of KuCoin, believes in TON's potential in the blockchain industry and sees this strategic alliance as an opportunity to promote further development of the crypto and blockchain industry through tighter cooperation. Kao hopes that this collaboration will serve as a motivating example for future similar ventures.
Future Collaboration and Communication
The partnership between KuCoin and TON is just the beginning. The companies plan to leverage this collaboration for deeper cooperation and communication. They are making all the necessary preparations for this joint effort.
Expanding TON Ecosystem and Mass Adoption
In addition to supporting the expansion of the TON ecosystem, KuCoin aims to replicate its success with other blockchain collaborations. The company wants to facilitate the transition of cryptocurrency from a niche interest to mass adoption.
KuCoin Ventures' Previous Investments
KuCoin Ventures has previously invested in decentralized infrastructure POKT, nonfungible token (NFT) platform OVO, and decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocol Sturdy, among others.
TON's Partnerships with Other Crypto Players
TON has been actively forging partnerships with other crypto players. In October, the platform raised a significant investment from MEXC Ventures to support its growth. In November, Web3 investment firm Animoca Brands became TON's largest validator, with plans to deliver blockchain-based games to Telegram.
