HSBC to Offer Custody Service for Digital Assets

HSBC has announced a partnership with tech firm Metaco, a subsidiary of Ripple, to integrate its institutional platform Harmonize with HSBC's new custody service for digital assets. The bank plans to launch the service in 2024, adding to its existing digital asset issuance platform, HSBC Orion, and its offering for tokenized physical gold, which was launched on November 1, 2023. These services together provide a comprehensive digital asset offering for HSBC's institutional clients.
