NEW UFC women’s bantamweight champion Juliana Pena has claimed Covid is just a ‘money grab’ that has been designed to ‘kill us’.
The Venezuelan Vixen gave her thoughts on the pandemic to UFC commentator Joe Rogan during an appearance on his podcast earlier this week.
And she remarkably suggested the handling of the pandemic from governments and scientists around the world has been with an ulterior motive in mind.
Pena, 32, told Rogan: “I listened to (your) podcast with the two doctors, back-to-back – Robert Malone and (Peter McCullough).
“I mean, that was eye-opening for me.
“I’m a massive conspiracy theorist on this whole thing, and I have been since the very beginning.
“I’m like, ‘This is just a money grab. This is – they’re trying to kill us, and this is ridiculous.’”
Rogan – whose own views on vaccinations and Covid treatments have caused a stir – was left stunned by Pena’s claim and quickly challenged her.
The 54-year-old interjected by saying: “Whoa.
“I don’t think they’re trying to kill us. I think there’s a lot of confusion as far as what works and what doesn’t work. …
“Reality is, there’s a lot of people scared and a lot of confusion, and there’s also a lot of people that don’t want people discussing things.
“They only want one narrative, and that’s where it becomes a problem for me.”
Pena – who tested positive for Covid in November – didn’t reveal if she’s taken one of the Covid vaccines approved by the United States government.
She did, however, seemingly reveal she’s open to mask mandates, which are still a fierce topic of debate across the globe.
The 135lb queen said: “To me, I don’t put on a mask unless somebody asks me.
“And then I’m like, ‘That’s over. Come on.’ … This is ridiculous. I’m sick of this. I’m so sick of it.”
Pena shocked the world last month by ending Amanda Nunes’ five-and-a-half-year reign as bantamweight champion.
The Ultimate Fighter season 18 winner recorded one of the biggest upsets in MMA history by submitting The Lioness in the second round of their UFC 270 showdown after weathering an early storm.
After her historic victory, Pena told Rogan inside the octagon: “I’m not surprised, motherf****r.”
