THE NETHERLANDS is the latest country to scrap more Covid restrictions.
As of this morning, Brits will no longer need to have a negative Covid test to be allowed to enter the Netherlands – which includes the popular city of Amsterdam – even if they are not vaccinated.
The Foreign Office website states: “From March 23, all travellers from the UK to the Netherlands will not require a negative pre-departure test for travel to the Netherlands, regardless of their vaccination status.”
Previously, travellers needed to have a negative PCR test taken within 48 prior to departure, or a negative antigen test taken within 24 hours before departure.
However, that rule was scrapped this morning, meaning vaccinated travellers only need to fill in a health declaration form to enter the Netherlands.
But unvaccinated Brits are still unable to travel to the Netherlands for tourism reasons, meaning a holiday is off the cards.

There are a few exemptions for unvaxxed travellers – this includes close family members of terminally ill patients, grandparents visiting their newly born grandchildren, and divorced parents visiting their kids.
From today, any unvaccinated Brits who fall into those categories won’t need to take a pre-departure test to enter the Netherlands.
Vaccinated travellers are also being warned that the Netherlands has a nine month expiration date on vaccination certificates, meaning travellers need to have had their second dose within that time.
Any Brits who had their second dose more than 270 days ago will be considered unvaccinated unless they’ve had a booster.

There’s more good news for Brits heading abroad, as the Canary Islands announced it will scrap all Covid restrictions in time for the Easter holidays.
From tomorrow, the popular Spanish islands – which include Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria – will return to a pre-pandemic way of operating.
However, President Ángel Víctor Torres warned it would be a temporary measure and rules could be reinstated should the health situation worsen again.
