LOVE Island star Zara Holland was seen “crying and distressed” after her alleged Covid escape bid was foiled.
The ex-beauty queen, 25, was held by police with boyfriend Elliott Love for trying to leave the Caribbean island.
The pair are accused of attempting to flee when he tested positive for the virus.
A source said: “They were pacing up and down inside the perimeter. Zara spent most of her time crying and was very distressed.
“She provided a second negative result on Thursday and has been allowed to leave.”
Her whereabouts are unknown but self-employed Elliott, 30, must stay at the facility for at least ten days and provide two negative tests before he can leave.
They face an anxious wait as authorities decide what action to take against them.
Trending In The News told yesterday that Elliott tested positive for the virus at the start of a new year holiday.
They allegedly cut off their red Covid armbands and caught a cab to the airport to avoid being put in the Harrison’s Point centre.
Police detained the couple — who have visited the island several times before — as they went through airport security.
Officers held them on suspicion of flouting Covid rules. They could face criminal charges including endangering the lives of others, an £18,000 fine each and a year in jail.
Zara, who was on Love Island in 2016, denies any wrongdoing and Elliott, whose symptoms are said to be mild, told a pal: “We put a small foot wrong and now everybody is yelling at us.”
It comes after Swiss Ismail Elbagli, 30, was fined £2,150 for breaching quarantine by leaving his Barbados hotel.
