FRANCE has finally reopened to unvaccinated Brits, in a major boost to people heading abroad for the Easter holidays.
As of this morning, the popular holiday destination has put the UK on its green list and scrapped the requirement for unvaccinated travellers to need an essential reason to enter the country.
Unvaccinated Brits will need to show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before travelling, or a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours before travelling.
The French Consulate General Guillaume Bazard tweeted: “On 03/31 the United Kingdom will be placed on the green list.
“Disappearance of compelling reasons for non-vaccinated travellers who will have to present a negative test (72-hour PCR or 48-hour TAG).”
In addition, vaccinated arrivals no longer need to fill in a sworn statement confirming they’re not suffering with any Covid symptoms.

Mr Bazard tweeted: “For vaccinated travellers, disappearance of the commitment of honour (no compelling reasons, no test).”
Children under 12-years-old are exempt from all Covid travel restrictions.
Earlier this month, France ditched its strict Covid vaccine passport rules, which Brits had previously needed to enter restaurants, bars and cinemas.
The country also scrapped the mandatory use of face masks – with the exception of public transport and care homes.
France is one of several European destinations that has put an expiration date on vaccine certificates.
If travellers received their second dose more than nine months ago, they will be considered unvaccinated unless they’ve had a booster jab.
Other European countries are relaxing Covid rules ahead of the Easter holidays.
Denmark has dropped all of its Covid rules for Brits – regardless of their vaccination status.
The rule change makes Denmark the first EU nation to abolish all restrictions related to the pandemic, following in the footsteps of the UK.
Spain has ditched Covid testing and quarantine rules for anyone who has mild symptoms of the virus or those who are asymptomatic.

The Canary Islands – which include Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria – are operating with no Covid restrictions for the first time since the pandemic began.
And Gibraltar has scrapped all Covid testing rules along with the requirement for arrivals to fill in a Passenger Locator Form.
