BIG chains such as Pizza Express and Mecca Bingo are offering deals, discounts and even freebies to welcome customers back on Monday.

Covid rules will ease even further on May 17 as Britain enters the third stage of Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.

Bingo fans can play for free at Mecca Bingo on Monday – if they download the app

Cinemas, hotels, bingo halls and sports stadiums can welcome customers back for the first time in months, and pubs and restaurants can reopen for indoor dining too.

Some of the nation’s favourite chains are knocking up to 50% off food bills or offering free goodies to tempt customers back as Covid rules ease.

We round up some of the best deals you can bag from Monday:

25% off at Beefeater and Brewers Fayre

Whitbread – who owns household favourite chains including Beefeater and Brewers Fayre – is planning to reopen pubs for indoor dining from Monday.

To mark the occasion, it is bringing back an offer it rolled out when it reopened 65 of its restaurants with outdoor eating space on April 12.

Hungry diners will be able to get 25% off food if they are a Blue Light Card and Defence Privilege Card holder.

Customers who sign up to its restaurant newsletters will also be able to get the deal.

If you sign up to the newsletter, then you’ll receive an email detailing the discount which you’ll need to show to a member of staff when you arrive at your local branch.

Free booze at Pizza Express

Pizza lovers can wash their meal down with a free bottle of Peroni or glass of wine

Pizza Express is reopening all of its 347 pizzerias across England, Scotland and Wales.

If you’re planning to take a trip, then you can get free booze with your meal.

The deal only runs Sunday to Thursday each week – so you can’t get the deal if you’re having a meal on Friday or Saturday.

You’ll have to sign up to the chain’s mailing list to get a code that gets you a free 330ml bottle of Peroni when you buy a main course.

You can swap your beer for a 175ml glass of wine or you can choose a soft drink instead.

It’s only available if you’re eating at a PizzaExpress branch, but you won’t be able to get a drink on the house if you’re dining in Scotland or Jersey due to local licencing restrictions.

Make sure to redeem your voucher before June 20.

Bingo halls can reopen on May 17

Bingo halls can finally reopen after remaining shut for months due to Covid measures.

If you’re planning on taking a trip to your local Mecca Bingo, then you can play a game for free.

The deal is only available if you download the Mecca app for free via Google Play or 

You’ll get a membership number when you set up your account, which you’ll need to log in.

Then, head to the vouchers section, and simply show the QR code when you arrive at your local branch.

A member of staff will scan it, and then you can play for free.

Free dessert at TGI Fridays

If you have a sweet tooth, then you might want to check out TGI Friday’s offer.

You can get any dessert on the house if you download the TGI Friday’s app, which is free to download via Google Play or the App Store.

You’ll have to enter a few personal details, like your email address, to set up an account.

Once it’s set up, the offer will be under the Rewards tab of the app.

When you’re at the restaurant, click on “redeem offer”, and then show your app to your server. 

Two for one meals or 50% off food with Tastecard

Tastecard members can get two for one mains, starters and desserts at over 2,000 restaurants fron May 17.

Tastecard can help with discounts on pizza, restaurant bills and more, and a membership costs £4.99.

However, be aware that this deal is only available from Sunday to Thursday at many big chains like Bella Italia, Ask, Zizzi and Pizza Hut.

But it’s Sunday to Friday for others, like Prezzo.

It’s best to check out the Tastecard website to check out when the deals run at the restaurant you want to visit.

Show your card when you arrive at the restaurant to get the money off.

Two for one meals and cinema tickets with Meerkat Meals

If you’re a Compare the Market customer, you can also get two for one on starters, mains and desserts using the Meerkat Meals app.

The deal is available Sundays through to Thursdays – so you won’t be able to dine in on the offer on Fridays and Saturdays.

Or, you can get 25% off the entire bill at restaurants on specific days of the week.

It’s best to check exactly what deals restaurants are offering and when you can redeem them on Compare the Market’s website.

If you’re a Compare the Market customer, you’ll also be eligible for the Meerkat Movies offer.

You can get two for one cinema tickets when they reopen next week.

However, make sure to check on Compare the Market’s website to see which cinema you can get the deal at.

You’ll only be able to get the offer on Tuesday or Wednesday too.

Free breakfast at Buzz Bingo

Buzz Bingo will be reopening its 91 clubs on Monday – more than four months after it could last welcome guests.

You’ll be treated to a free sausage or bacon roll, as well as a tea or coffee, if you visit your local hall on May 17.

Make sure you set your alarm though, as the deal is only available between 10am and 11am on Monday.
