CANCER campaigner Deborah James has been whisked out for a ‘perfect’ date with her doting husband.
The 40-year-old spent some time at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey today with her rock Sebastien Bowen.
Her trip out marks a celebration of her new book reaching No1 on Amazon.
Just hours after the pre-release announcement was made, her legions of supporters had bumped the “labour of love” to the top of the charts.
The podcaster said her loving partner had taken her out early doors to congratulate his wife on her success.
Posting to Instagram, she said: “Seb whisked me (bit of a mission but worth it!) at the crack of dawn to @rhswisley before all the crowds, to say well done for the book launch, and it was just perfect for a hour.

“I haven’t left the house in 10 days as have been too weak, and whilst I’m now going to snooze for most of the day (in the sun like a cat!) – I love this picture of reminding me of vibrant green life all around, despite the sadness of knowing the state of my body inside.
“But Seb is an utter rock for me and together we seem to be able to squeeze our hands, swallow the tears and laugh instead.”
Deborah posted a photo of the couple beaming in the garden.
Last Monday, she shared a heartbreaking Instagram post saying she was now receiving end-of-life care at her parents’ home in Woking, Surrey, because the heroic efforts of her team of medics at The Royal Marsden Hospital in South West London were now fruitless.
Since then she has raised more than £6million for Cancer Research and has also released a book – which she previously highlighted had been top of the list when sorting out her ‘death admin’.
She today added that she had been ‘blown away’ by the response of the book launch and the number of people who had ordered it.
“Not only contributing the @bowelbabefund but also making it number one in the best sellers Amazon list.
“It’s always been my pipe dream to write a times best seller.
“My first book just missed out, so maybe just maybe I’ll never know about this one, but I’m sure I’ll be celebrating somewhere,” she added.
The mum-of-two was diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer just days before Christmas in 2016.
But medics have now told her that her body is sadly no longer playing ball.
In order to recognise her efforts, the mum was last week officially made a Dame by Prince William.
The royal was thought to have cleared his diary and made the trip to the home in Woking, Surrey, especially to ensure she got the gong from him.
Deborah told how she had been blown away by the day, posing for a number of snaps with William and having a natter.
