Heartbreaking story of a 4-year-old boy facing orphanhood as mum battles terminal cancer

Tragic Loss and Ongoing Battle

A four-year-old boy named Rupert is facing the possibility of becoming an orphan as his mum, Keelie Towler, battles terminal cancer. This devastating situation comes just one year after the sudden death of Keelie's partner, Scott.

A Brave Journey

Keelie gave birth to Rupert in July 2020 and was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer only five months later. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and a double mastectomy, the 34-year-old was able to return to work after a grueling treatment process.

A Tragic Turn of Events

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Scott, aged 33, passed away in May 2023 due to a pulmonary embolism. Subsequently, in March 2024, Keelie received the devastating news that her cancer had returned, this time in her brain and terminal.

Concerns for the Future

Keelie is understandably worried about the future, especially for her young son, Rupert. Despite the challenges they face, she finds solace in knowing that her family and friends will support him.

Community Support

Keelie's friend, Rachael Gunningham, has set up a GoFundMe page to help alleviate the family's financial burden during this difficult time. The outpouring of support from donors has been greatly appreciated by Keelie.
