Rishi Sunak and David Cameron call for investigation after Brits killed in Gaza airstrike

Rishi Sunak urges urgent probe

Rishi Sunak and David Cameron are demanding answers following reports that three British nationals were among those killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. The Prime Minister has called for an urgent investigation after seven workers from World Central Kitchen tragically lost their lives.

Foreign Office working to verify reports

Foreign Office staff are currently working to confirm the identities of the British nationals involved in the incident. The aid workers, who were part of a convoy delivering humanitarian aid, were fatally hit while leaving the Deir al-Balah warehouse after unloading over 100 tonnes of food supplies for Gaza.

International outcry for protection of aid workers

Rishi Sunak emphasized the importance of allowing humanitarian workers to carry out their vital work without hindrance. Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron echoed these sentiments, calling for a full and transparent explanation of the events leading to the tragic airstrike. Alicia Kearns, chair of the Commons Foreign Affairs Committee, stressed the need to ensure the safety and protection of humanitarian workers in conflict zones.
