RESERVISTS are being lined up to stop migrants crossing the Channel.

Defence Secretary Ben Wallace put back-up forces on standby after the MoD took over last week.

It comes as 88 more migrants arrived in just two boats on Monday.

Home Secretary Priti Patel accused Labour critics of her Rwanda policy of xenophobia, insisting Britain would not stand by “when people are drowning”.

Plans to send migrants 4,000 miles away were also criticised by some Tories, with former Brexit Secretary David Davis claiming it was “beset by moral dilemmas”.
