A man in his 60s was arrested and later released on suspicion of a public order offence after racist comments were directed towards Rishi Sunak. The arrest took place in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire.
Incident Details
The man was taken to a local police station for questioning but was subsequently released with no further action. The comments in question were made during an undercover investigation into Nigel Farage’s Reform campaign.

Rishi Sunak expressed that the derogatory remarks made about him were hurtful and anger-inducing, especially as his daughters were also exposed to them. He called for accountability within Farage's campaign.
Police Investigation
Essex Police is reviewing the program to determine if any criminal offense was committed. The investigation revealed concerning statements made by campaigners, leading to the arrest of the man.
Party's Reaction
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has condemned the remarks and vowed to remove those responsible from his campaign. Three staff members were dismissed following the incident.
