FOREIGN Secretary Liz Truss last night let rip at snobbish Brits who dislike their country and automatically side with Brussels.

She hit out as she unveiled plans to rip up key parts of the Northern Ireland Brexit deal.

In a dig at hardcore Remainiacs, Ms Truss claimed there is a “strand of thinking in Britain that actively doesn’t like our country very much”.

She blamed the naysayers for Brussels constantly misreading the UK’s true position and the will of British people as they “call it wrong again and again”.

Ms Truss said: “It doesn’t represent what the vast majority of people in this country think.”

She was speaking to Trending In The News on the day the Government published long-awaited legislation to over-ride Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal signed two years ago.
