Labour’s Angela Rayner Spotted Dining with Blair Fundraiser ‘Lord Cashpoint’

Loved-up Labour Couple Enjoy Dinner with Lord Michael Levy

Labour’s Shadow Deputy PM Angela Rayner and her partner Sam Tarry were seen dining with Lord Michael Levy, known as "Lord Cashpoint" for his fundraising abilities during the Blair years. The couple enjoyed a meal at the Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Benares in London’s Mayfair on Thursday night. The dinner has sparked speculation that Tarry is collecting funds for a potential election campaign, as he is reportedly searching for a new seat after being deselected in Ilford South. The trio's night out is sure to raise some eyebrows in Westminster.

Lord Levy: A Master Fundraiser

Lord Michael Levy, now 79, raised more than £100 million for Labour between 1994 and 2007. Although he faced questions during the Labour Party's "cash for honours" scandal in the 2000s, he was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing. Lord Levy is once again involved in fundraising efforts for the Labour Party.

"Angela Enjoys Eating Out with Friends"

A Labour source defended Rayner's dinner with Lord Levy, stating that she simply enjoys dining with friends and has a particular fondness for curry. Neither Tarry nor Lord Levy commented on the dinner when approached by Trending In The News.
