BORIS Johnson will give a press conference this afternoon on the new Tiers system for England.
The PM will address the nation – expected to be in person – as he comes out of his 14 day isolation today.
He will speak to the public at 5pm after the Tiers system is revealed this morning at around 11.30am by the Health Secretary.
Ministers have warned that more people are expected to be put into Tier 2 or 3 – which bans socialising indoors and puts restrictions on hospitality too.
The Tiers system will come into effect on Wednesday 2 December, when England’s four-week shut down ends.
But MPs and local leaders are still looking for the economic analysis of the lockdown and a clear route out of it.
Liverpool is expected to escape the top Tier 3 after a huge reduction in its cases thanks to mass testing – along with London.
Manchester and parts of Yorkshire and the Humber, are set to go into the top tier.
