BORIS Johnson is now FOUR points behind Labour in the polls following backlash over the lockdown Christmas party revelations.
The Conservatives have fallen three points to 33 per cent following claims over multiple festive parties being held while parts of the country were in lockdown last year.
Labour have also gained four points, reaching 37 per cent, according to the YouGov poll.
The slump is the Conservatives’ worst poll rating in 11 months as the prime minister battles on several fronts.
And the Redfield & Wilton poll shows 63 per cent of voters think the PM should resign following the partying revelations and sleaze rows circulating in Westminister in recent weeks.
More than two-thirds of voters are also now questioning the PM’s integrity over his response to the Downing Street Christmas party, according to YouGov.
And 68 per cent of those polled believe Johnson was not telling the truth when he denied it – with one in five Tory voters saying the government’s response to the allegations made them trust it less.
According to the Survation poll for the Daily Mirror, support for Keir Starmer’s party is now at an all-time high since Boris arrived in No10 in 2019.
This follows a tough few weeks for No10 – as allegations continue to circulate about Downing Street parties held last year during lockdown.
Boris’ top aide Allegra Stratton resigned in tears yesterday just hours after bombshell footage showed her laughing about a lockdown-busting Christmas party at No10.
The PM earlier said he was “sickened” by the leaked video of his senior advisers joking about the alleged illegal gathering last year.
In the Commons at lunchtime, Mr Johnson said the video leaked to ITV made him “furious” and launched an investigation into the December 18 party.
He said Downing Street staff could face “disciplinary action” but said he’s been assured no Covid rules were broken.
PARTY’S OVER
This comes after the Met police said they WON’T be probing the Downing Street Christmas Party which allegedly happened last year.
And yesterday, Boris announced bombshell new Plan B Covid restrictions – forcing workers back into their home offices and making masks mandatory in more public places.
It’s feared he will face an enormous backbench rebellion over attempts to tighten Covid restrictions again.
The PM triggered Plan B over fears that infections are now doubling every few days and the NHS could be crippled.
The barmy new Covid rules mean people can work from the pub with pals from Monday instead of going to the office.
The farce emerged as Boris Johnson faced more flak over lockdown-busting Christmas parties and dodgy donations for Downing Street decorating.
And last night the PM was facing his biggest backlash yet over his plans for vaccine passports at nightclubs and sports events.
