If you're keen to buy your Xbox Series S right now, there are already some great deals that you can access. Some retailers start dropping their prices ahead of Black Friday itself. There are also some fantastic bundle offers, or free gifts with your purchase. Here are some of the best Xbox Series S deals to shop now.
When is Black Friday?
This year, the big day is happening on Friday November 24. Black Friday is a decades-old tradition over in the U.S. (which is why it's always the day after Thanksgiving), and has steadily gained popularity in the UK in recent years. One word of caution though: the name suggests it's a day-long sale, which it isn't. Instead, you can expect sales to start as early as the beginning of November, although the very best deals tend to be held back until the week of Black Friday itself, which starts Monday November 20.
What to Expect on Black Friday
Our guess is that we'll see a wealth of price drops on subscription bundles when Black Friday lands. We might also see some great discounts on the console itself, but since it's still very much in demand, it's not a definite guarantee. But if you're eager to buy one anyway, Black Friday is a good chance to pick up an Xbox Series S with some great extras on the side – like free gifts or other discounted items in a bundle. Last year saw some significant price drops on the Xbox Series S. For example, Currys had a £60 saving, lowering the retail price from £249.99 to £189. We're hoping for some similar discounts this year. And we're confident that subscription and games pass bundles like the 12-Month Gold Membership bundle and 3-month Game Pass Ultimate bundle will see their prices lowered – watch this space!
Cyber Monday Deals
Cyber Monday is always the Monday that follows on immediately after Black Friday – so this year, that's November 27. Historically, it was a day of online-only deals, whereas most Black Friday offers were exclusively in-store. But internet shopping has boomed in recent years, especially during the Covid pandemic, so in reality there's very little difference between the two sales days. You can expect a final wave of deals on Cyber Monday, plus some potential further price drops on products already on sale. However, take caution: if you see a great deal during Black Friday, it may well sell out by the time Cyber Monday comes around.
