'Major outage' hits Xbox network
What seemed like scheduled maintenance for Xbox has turned into a widespread outage, leaving thousands unable to game. Over 8,800 Xbox players reported network problems since 12pm BST in the UK and US.

Xbox's planned maintenance on The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited on 2 October was expected to cause game launch problems until 5pm BST. However, users faced more widespread issues as they struggled to log in and access the Xbox store.
Users express frustration
On social media, users voiced their frustrations with the outage. One user mentioned, "I can’t sign in at all, I think your servers are down." Xbox Support acknowledged the issues, stating they are investigating and will provide updates.
