TOMB RAIDER is a cult classic among videogame fans.
Doused in nostalgia, it can be tempting to play the lengthy franchise front to back – but where to start?
Tomb Raider is a hugely successful action franchise which started in 1996
In what order should you play the Tomb Raider games?
Playing the Tomb Raider games in story order may prove to be tricky as there are three separate timelines in the Lara Croft franchise.
There’s the original timeline which began with the original Tomb Raider game in 1996, ending with 2003’s Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.
Next is the legend timeline, which began with Tomb Raider: Legend in 2006 and finished in 2008 with Tomb Raider: Underworld.
Lastly, there’s the survivor timeline which started with the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot and ended as a trilogy with 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
