PS5 Owners Discover Four Settings That Instantly Upgrade Console

If you're a PlayStation 5 owner, there are a few simple settings tweaks that can instantly improve your gaming experience.

Boost Your DualSense Controller Battery Life

Running out of charge in the middle of a gaming session can be incredibly frustrating. But fear not! There are a few tricks to maximize your DualSense controller's battery life.

Firstly, you can set your controller to automatically switch off by going to Settings > System > Power Saving.

Additionally, make sure to mute your microphone "when logged in" in your sound settings to prevent it from draining power unnecessarily. And if the haptic feedback on your controller is too intense, you can reduce it by going to Control Center > Accessories > DualSense Wireless Controller > Controller Settings > Vibration Intensity / Trigger Effect Intensity.

Save Storage Space

Your PS5 automatically collects 15-second 4K clips of every Trophy you earn. While this is a neat feature, it can quickly eat up your console's storage space.

To conserve space, go to Settings > Captures and Broadcasts > Auto-Captures > Trophies > Video Clips and limit it to Platinum or None. This way, you'll only keep the most important clips.

Another way to free up space is by deleting Astro's Playroom if you've already played it. This default Sony game takes up just under 11 gigabytes of storage.

Game in Peace and Quiet

Want to game without the world knowing? You can log in to your PlayStation 5 silently, so your friends won't be alerted to your presence.

To do this, simply press the menu button on your profile when starting up your PS5. This will reveal a hidden options panel, where you can scroll down and choose "Appear Offline." You can now game undisturbed.

Create Time-Saving Presets

Setting up your video games can be time-consuming. But fear not! Your PlayStation 5 has a handy menu that lets you create presets for all your games.

These presets can include your preferred difficulty, performance or resolution mode, first-person or third-person view, subtitles and audio settings, and even online multiplayer preferences.

Once you have chosen your presets, your games will default to these settings in the future, saving you time and hassle when starting a new title.

So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and optimize your PS5 experience with these simple settings changes!
