PS Plus games leaving in October
PlayStation has announced that a number of games will be leaving the platform in October. This is a regular occurrence, but there are some highly acclaimed titles that fans will not want to miss out on. Among the games leaving on October 17, 2023, are The Yakuza Remastered Collection and two recent entries from the Far Cry series.
Surprising departures
While fans were prepared for some games to leave PlayStation's subscription service, PS Plus, this month, there were a few surprises. The popular indies Inside and Limbo were expected to depart after their announcement of joining Xbox Game Pass. The Crew Motorfest's launch also raised speculation of The Crew leaving the platform. However, it's not just these games leaving, as two more recent Far Cry games will also be going off the platform in October.
The Quarry and Yakuza series
One of the departing games is The Quarry, the latest release from Supermassive Games, the team behind Until Dawn. This horror game, where choices matter, allows players to determine the fate of the characters. Additionally, three highly acclaimed games from the Yakuza series will be leaving PS Plus Premium. With a spin-off, Like a Dragon Gaiden, set to launch in November, this is the last chance for players to catch up on these classics.
Time to download and try them out
PlayStation Plus subscribers still have a few weeks before the 16 departing games are removed. This means there is still time to download and try out these titles. Whether you are a subscriber to PS Plus Extra or Premium, make sure to take advantage of the opportunity before it's too late.
