Meet Peanut Butter the dog gamer making his debut at gaming's biggest charity event

GAMES Done Quick is the bi-annual gaming event that has raised over $43million (£33million) for charity. It's a 24/7 marathon where people from all over the world come together and speedrun video games around the clock.

A Very Special Runner

Peanut Butter is the first dog that will be running a game at the event, playing together with his owner James, also known as JSR_. The pair will be playing Gyromite, a game that was originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

A Canine Controller

Peanut Butter has a modified controller with extra large buttons so that he can push them with his paws. The Shiba Inu has undertaken years of training in order to learn how to play the game, and James issues commands with his voice and hand signals.

Watch the Speedrun

You can watch PB&J speedrun Gyromite on the GDQ Twitch channel on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 6:25pm UK time.
