Reports of users being unable to access their accounts peaked just before midnight on Thursday, July 18. However, according to the company's website, all Xbox services are now up and running.

Reason Behind the Outage
Severe issues at Microsoft have caused computer systems worldwide to crash, affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services. A flawed anti-viral update from cybersecurity software firm CrowdStrike is believed to be the cause of the global outage.
When Can Users Expect a Fix?
Just before midnight on Thursday, almost 1,500 Xbox Live outages were reported, but the number has since decreased. As of 1.20pm on Friday, July 19, all Xbox services are reported to be functioning normally, indicating that the issue has been resolved.
