Genshin Impact Candace Build: Best weapons, artifacts, and teams

CANDACE carries a shield in addition to her main weapon in Genshin Impact, making her a strong choice as a support character.

She can strengthen her teammates both offensively and defensively, making her a good component for a team.

Genshin Impact Candace Build: Best weapons, artifacts, and teams
Candace provides strong support.

As a four-star character she is also easier to pick up than her five-star counterparts.

Here’s the best way to equip Candace so she’s ready for battle in Genshin Impact.

Best weapons for Candace in Genshin Impact

Candace is primarily an off-field character, who only spends time on the field in order to activate her abilities.

She needs great energy recharge for this, as she only generates limited particles, and also a lot of HP to boost her buffs.

For Support Candace, the five-star polearm, Skyward Spine, is the best option as it increases her energy recharge and triggers a damaging effect.

Alternatively, you can choose the following weapons:

  • Favonius Lance (four-star rod weapon) – increases energy recharge, creates energy particles.
  • The Catch (four-star polearm) – increases energy recharge, increases ability damage.

If you want to play Candace as the less popular option of a DPS character, the Staff of Homa and the Deathmatch are good weapons.

Best artifacts for Candace in Genshin Impact

As with many support characters, Candace really benefits from Noblesse Oblige, which increases ability damage and attack for all characters.

If your team already has a character wearing this set, then a mix of Emblem of Severed Fate and Tenacity of Millelith works well.

The first will increase energy recharge by 20%, while the second will increase HP by 20%.

As energy recharge is particularly important for Candace you will want to make sure this reaches around 180%, then maximise your HP with the remaining pieces.

Pay attention to the following distribution of attributes:

  • Plume: Attack (main stat), HP%, Energy Recharge, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
  • Flower: HP (main stat), HP%, Energy Recharge, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
  • Sands: HP% or Energy Recharge (standard damage build) (main stat), HP%, Energy Recharge, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
  • Goblet: HP% (main stat), Energy Recharge, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).
  • Circlet: HP% (main stat), Energy Recharge, Critical Hit Rate, Critical Damage (sub stats).

If you want to get DPS Candace go for Heart Of Depth, which increases Hydro damage, and increases damage from standard attacks.

Best teams for Candace in Genshin Impact

Candace will actively deflect damage with her shield, and increase the damage of the active team member’s standard attacks.

Because of this, you’ll want your main DPS to deal the majority of their damage using standard attacks.

  • Kamisato Ayato (Main-DPS), Xiangling (Sub-DPS), Candace (Support), Bennett (Support)

As Ayato mainly uses his standard attacks, he benefits a lot from Candace’s support, and also creates Hydro resonance.

Xiangling provides off-field effects and Bennett contributes healing as well as other buffs to damage.

Ayato can be replaced with characters like Childe, Yoimiya, or Cyno.

The sub DPS should be chosen depending on the Main DPS, with characters like Collei, Xingqiu, or Yelan being good choices.

However, if you replace the other Hydro characters on the team be sure to bring Kokomi or Barbara on board as support to create Hydro resonance.

  • Candace (Main-DPS), Xiangling (Sub-DPS), Sucrose (Support), Kokomi (Support)

This team places Candace as the main-DPS so the team doesn’t benefit as well from her support.

Instead, she can create reactions from Xiangling’s Pryo effects, while Sucrose or Kazuha, can group enemies together and break down their resistances.

Kokomi or Barbara can bring Hydro resonance into play and help heal the team.
