Fortnite down for maintenance
Fortnite players were left in the lurch this morning as the popular game experienced downtime for scheduled maintenance. The v29.01 update brought new items and weapons to the game, following the theme of Myths and Mortals.
Quick return to the game
Despite concerns about extended downtime, players were relieved to find that this update was quicker than expected, with servers back online in just over an hour. This allowed eager gamers to jump back into the action sooner rather than later.
What's new in Fortnite?
The update introduced exciting additions like the Epic-tier weapon Chains of Hades, which can pull enemies towards you while inflicting damage. Additionally, players can now find the Drum Gun as a standard loot drop. A new item called Shield Bubble Jr has also been added to the mix, similar to the Shield Bubble but in a smaller size.
Furthermore, groundwork has been laid for map editors for Rocket Racing and Lego Fortnite, though access to these features is not yet available. Players are eagerly awaiting more news on when these additions will be unlocked.
