The latest gear in the 6.2 patch.

If relaxing on a tropical island isn’t your thing, then there are many other reasons to jump back into the world.

FF14’s story has been updated with new quests, raids, and trials, alongside the long awaited area.

Here are the biggest changes brought to the game in FF14’s 6.2 update.

How to build your Island Sanctuary

One of the reasons the servers were down for so long is the addition of the Island Sanctuary.

Much like farming sims such as Stardew Valley, Island Sanctuary allows you to gather resources, care for animals, and slowly grow your creative empire.

FF14 will let you know what you need to gather, where to find it, and much more.

If you want to run your own island paradise, you will have to finish the Endwalker quest first, then talk to the Clueless Crier in Old Sharlayan.

New main scenario quests for high level players

There are nine new quests for the main story, most of which are being kept a secret from players.

The first is called In Search of Azdaja, and you can find this by talking to Varshahn in Radz-at-Han.

You have to reach level 90 as a Disciple of War or Magic, and complete A Satrap’s Duty before they will give you the quest though.

Pandaemonium: Abyssos raid gives you tokens for gear

Adding a new raid into the MMORPG, this one rewards you with tokens that you can trade in for the gear of your choice.

This makes the process of getting gear from raids a little bit easier.

A more difficult Savage version of the raid will be available from August 30, for those who clear the base version.

Chronicles of a New Era adds six new quests.

Six new quests are now available for the Chronicles of a New Era storyline.

Like the mainline quests, you will need to be level 90 as a Disciple of War or Magic in order to play them.

You will also have to complete the Chronicles quest ‘Who Wards the Warders?’ to unlock the first one.

Once you have done all of this, speak with Claudien in Labyrinthos to start your journey.

New mystery trials waiting to be discovered

New trials have been announced which are tied to some of the new main scenario quests.

However, you will have to find out what they are yourself by finding them on your adventures.

The one thing we do know is that there is a new Unreal trial called ‘Containment Bay S1 T7’, which involves eight players taking on a boss.

You can find all the patch notes for the 6.2 update on the official FF14 website for the full list of changes big and small.
