ELDEN Ring’s 1.07 patch has just been released, and there are some big changes, particularly for the PvP community.
While the patch also introduces the usual buffs to magic and weapons, it’s the changes to PvP play balances that will make the most difference.
Elden Ring is one of this year’s best-selling games.
The poise system has also had some key changes along with Colossal Weapons.
Here are all the biggest changes made in Elden Ring Patch 1.07.
Separate damage scaling for PvP fights
Proving to be a hit with players already are the changes made to the damage scaling in PvP battles.
In patch 1.07 damage will scale differently depending on whether you’re fighting a computer-controlled NPC or another player.
Stamina attack power is increased when attacking another player who is blocking, while normal attacks have increased poise damage.
Ashes of War has been nerfed, offering lower attack power across the board.
Dragon incantations in PvP have also been nerfed such as Dragonfire and Agheel’s Flame.
Decreased FP cost on a number of spells
In a more controversial change, a huge number of spells have been buffed by decreasing their FP cost.
Other spells, such as Glintstone Pebble, won’t see the reduced cost, but are receiving an attack buff instead.
If players did not think magic was overpowered before, they have all the more reason to.
Increased power or motion speed for skills
A large number of skills will receive increased attack power, motion speed, or both.
Stormcaller, Blood Tax, and Piercing Fang are three skills that have received both buffs.
Other skills have received these or other buffs such as the ability to attack faster after using an item, or increased poise damage.
This also has increased usage in PvP, especially since Ashes of War was nerfed.
Poise increased on armour
Armour is seeing a buff to the amount of poise damage given than ever before.
While many skills are improving their poise, almost all armour has this added buff evening things out.
In PvE you’ll be able to abuse skills to get early staggers, but in PvP your opponent will have the same poise buffs, so be careful.
Attack and recovery speed buffs for Colossal Weapons
While this isn’t the first time Colossal Swords and Weapons have seen a buff, these changes will make them more competitive than ever before.
The speed of most attacks has increased, with higher poise damage for two-handed attacks.
Hammers and Great Hammers also get a poise damage buff, but it’s not all good.
The crouched poke and the powerful rolling attack have both been nerfed in terms of speed and hit detection. Another change for PvP battles.
