Players demand more action against cheating
Despite being launched last year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 recently saw a huge influx of new players. The game dropped on Xbox Game Pass on July 26, allowing new players to join for free as part of the subscription. However, with more people joining the game come more problems, and there have been thousands of complaints since the game was released.
65k accounts banned for cheating
Many of the complaints surround cheating, as a number of accounts use mods to make the game easier and give them an unfair advantage. These mods include things like showing you the locations of the opposing team or giving you improved aim on weapons. The official Call of Duty updates Twitter account recently announced that 65k accounts have been banned from the game for cheating and boosting in Ranked Play and non-Ranked modes in Warzone and MW3.
Players express dissatisfaction
Despite the bans, players don't think that Activision is doing enough to protect players from cheaters. Some players have accused the developer of not taking sufficient action to combat cheating and ensure fair gameplay. While some are pleased that steps are being taken, others believe that the current measures are not enough to address the issue effectively.
Players call for stronger anti-cheat measures
Players have expressed their frustrations on social media platforms, demanding more robust anti-cheat systems similar to those in other games like Valorant. They argue for more automation and stricter enforcement to rid the game of hackers and ensure a fair gaming experience for all players.
Continued monitoring and enforcement
Despite the bans, some players claim that cheaters are creating new accounts immediately after being banned, indicating that the current measures may not be entirely effective. The Call of Duty team has stated that they will continue to monitor and issue enforcements to combat cheating and boosting in all game modes.
